Eluize approaches her DJ sets and productions alike, creating and playing music that evokes spectrums of emotion, resonating viscerally through the meticulous interplay of elements. Whether through delicate, reflective production on her forthcoming LP ‘Believe,’ heavy hitting, hypnotic heaters on ‘Momentary Distraction’ (recently released on Unknown To The Unknown), gritty EBM on ‘Lucidity’ (2024’s release on Motorik), disco drenched elation on ‘Curious Bliss’ (also released in 2024, on Massimiliano Pagliara’s Funnuvojere Records), or the orchestration of decadent escapes on dance floors when DJing, the Australian’s artistry speaks to the senses.
Eluize drenches brisk house with a prog touch in acid. In her sets, selections entwine and move together, rather than succumbing to excess, the rave locks into flow. Listeners will find themselves drawn inwards time and again, guided by ethereal breaks, often lead by Eluize’s vocals, the breathing space she creates for dancers, and the energy of the tracks themselves.
Whether in the cavernous depths of fog filled clubs or dusty plains of heat hazed festivals: Eluize grounds her music in something psychedelic and hypnotic, a place of security where lively, bubbling melodies have room to unfold.
