Seb Wildblood, one of the UK underground’s most influential artists, unveils a deep house reimagining of ‘Keycard’ courtesy of LA-based producer sunflwr. The remix transforms a standout track from Wildblood’s highly anticipated album ‘Waterworld,’ due October 28th.
The release follows the success of previous single ‘Insomniac Crossing’ featuring rising London singer Eli Dayo, which showcased Wildblood’s evolution into introspective, songwriter-led territory with its dreamy exploration of dawn-lit city moments and emotional connection.
sunflwr, a producer and DJ based in Los Angeles focused on nostalgic and dreamy deep house, brings their signature sound to Wildblood’s introspective songwriting, creating a club-ready version that maintains the original’s emotional depth while adding dancefloor momentum.
“I’ve asked some of my favourite producers to nudge the ‘Waterworld’ sound into the club,” explains Wildblood. “Sunflwr is next up with a deep house take on keycard. I’ve been playing this one out a lot over the summer, equally suited to a sunset, sunrise or peak-time club moment.”
The collaboration represents a perfect meeting of minds between two LA-based artists exploring the intersection of introspective electronic music and club culture. sunflwr’s nostalgic, dreamy approach complements Wildblood’s evolved sound, which marks his boldest evolution from dance floor-focused productions into songwriter-led territory on the forthcoming ‘Waterworld.’
Hailed as “one of the most prolific figures in the UK’s underground scene” by DJ Mag, Wildblood has earned acclaim from tastemakers including FACT, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, i-D, BBC, and KCRW. His catalog has generated over 80 million streams, with past collaborators including Theophilus London, Kelly Lee Owens, and Laraaji.
