Cologne-born producer CAY makes a bold first step towards his debut album with the release of ‘Far Light / Can’t Live Without You’, landing on 10th October on Mind Against’s HABITAT label. The two-track single introduces listeners to the world of ‘Another Life’, a deeply personal project that will arrive to close January 2026.

On ‘Far Light’, CAY threads widescreen melodies and powerful low-end with the emotional vocal intensity that defines his sound, capturing a balance of melancholic euphoria and forward drive. ‘Can’t Live Without You’ reveals another side of his artistry, once again weaving captivating vocals into a tense yet vulnerable groove, offering a first glimpse of the intimacy that runs through his forthcoming album.

‘Another Life’ marks a pivotal moment for CAY: an ambitious 10-track statement that moves beyond the peak-time energy of his past releases to uncover something deeper and more expansive. Written over several years and distilled from more than 60 tracks, it represents the artist’s evolution from Cologne’s underground rave scene to the wider European circuit, and now, to a fully realised body of work.

“For me, making music has always been a refuge,” explains CAY. “This album was about allowing myself to sing, to risk expectations, and to connect on a more human level. It’s about real experiences, but told in a way that lets others find their own story in the music.”

With its cinematic scope, honest vocals, and fusion of progressive, broken beat, techno, and trance elements, ‘Another Life’ is both a debut and a personal unveiling. ‘Far Light / Can’t Live Without You’ is the first door into that world: a release that sets the tone for a project that promises to move between optimism and vulnerability, dancefloor release and reflective depth.
