London-based DJ, producer, and label head James Dexter will release his long-awaited debut album ‘Here Now’ on 10th October via his own acclaimed imprint, Inermu. The release arrives as both a personal and professional landmark, encapsulating the evolution of an artist who has long stood at the heart of the UK’s underground, while also marking ten years since the founding of one of the scene’s most consistent and respected labels.
Across ten tracks, ‘Here Now’ showcases the full arc of James’s musical journey to date, from hazy, dub-tinged rollers and swung, minimal rhythms to driving garage-laced grooves. Tracks like ‘Feels’ and ‘Reese’s Groove’ (released ahead of the full LP on 5th and 19th September respectively) underline his refined, floor-focused approach, while cuts like ‘Sunday Service’ and ‘Back To The Sunshine’ dig deeper into more emotive territory.
