Gespona returns to RUMMEL with ‘Down the Street,’ a six-track odyssey that captures the full arc of a night spent in motion — from the first flicker of anticipation to the final shimmer of dawn. A longtime resident at NOM Barcelona, Gespona’s instinct for pacing and atmosphere is razor-sharp, and it shows.

The EP moves fluidly between deep introspection and pulsing drive, each cut sculpted with warm basslines, crisp percussion, and those emotive synth touches that have earned him support from the likes of Solomun, Âme, and Digweed. There’s an unspoken narrative threading through it all — one that feels as at home on the open-air terraces of Berlin as it does in the sweat-soaked intensity of a Montreal after-hours.

What makes ‘Down the Street’ so compelling is its versatility. The opening pieces tease with restrained tension, gradually giving way to hypnotic grooves built for the heart of the floor, before closing with a reflective, almost cinematic denouement.
