Patrik Berg returns to his own Exzess with ‘Real Thing,’ a warm and emotive deep-house cut born from a fresh chapter in his Cologne studio. Recently expanding his setup with new analog equipment, he set out to create a track made entirely through hardware – from the first spark of an idea to the final bounce.

‘Real Thing’ captures this intention with smooth, housey finesse. Built on rich analog textures and understated groove, the track is elevated by vocal snippets taken from an interview exploring the philosophical depths of love. The result is a piece that feels intimate and intentional, showcasing another facet of Patrik’s artistry and his deep-rooted passion for electronic music.

Patrik added: “I produced the track ‘Real Thing’ in my studio in Cologne after upgrading my setup with new analog gear. My goal was to create a completely analog track from start to finish. As the cherry on top and to add more depth, I incorporated vocals from an interview that explores the deep philosophical meaning of love. The result is a smooth deep house cut designed to touch the listener’s heart.”
