Berlin-based DJ, producer, and engineer Predex unveils his debut album ‘Momentum’ on Marginalia – the label’s second-ever album and a defining milestone for both artist and imprint, founded by ELIF. Predex has become one of the label’s most trusted voices. With ‘Momentum’, he crystallises his own narrative: a striking blend of emotional resonance, hypnotic groove, and club precision.

Predex’s path is rooted in contrasts. Originally from Turkey and shaped by a background in progressive rock and metal, he channels raw intensity into sleek, melodic techno constructions. His breakthrough came with the ‘Praise the Sky’ EP on Frau Blau – a collaboration with ELIF, remixed by Rodriguez Jr. and Aether, which announced his name on the international stage. Since then, his productions and sets have carried him from Berlin clubs like Renate and Birgit to showcases in Istanbul, Barcelona, Miami, and Los Angeles.

The album ‘Momentum’ unfolds across nine tracks, balancing solo works with collaborations alongside Samet Gunal, Bakayan, Kuntay Cevizci, Kendi, and a remix from Yost Koen. The opening ‘Intro’ sets an atmospheric tone, while ‘Momentum’ delivers the rolling precision that anchors the record. ‘Need Your Love’ and ‘Bounce’ embody his ability to strip things down to their hypnotic essence. Collaborations expand the LP’s scope: ‘Getting It Back’ with Samet Gunal swells with emotive phrasing; ”Dance With Me’ alongside Bakayan adds urgency and drive; ‘Anthem’ with Kuntay Cevizci lives up to its name with widescreen melodic force; and ‘LEON 99’ with Kendi explores depth and mystery. Yost Koen closes the journey with a peak-time reimagining of ‘Bounce,’ tightening its hypnotic core into a club weapon.

For Marginalia, the LP signals the trust placed in Predex as both a central collaborator and now a headline artist – and underscores ELIF’s vision for the label: emotive, modern, and built for real rooms. For Predex, it is a personal statement: a debut album that merges his dual worlds of artistry and engineering into one coherent vision.
