NEXUS is the meeting point of three artists — Lucian Aguilar, Lucas Ereth, and Maxime Seiler – each shaped by different cultures, histories, and musical roots. Together, they form a trio built on connection, intention, and global influences. We caught up with them to talk about the launch of their brand new label Percue Records, Christmas wishes, 2026 plans, and more!

WWD: Hey guys! Welcome to When We Dip. What were some of your proudest moments in 2025, musically or otherwise?

2025 felt like a turning point. We finally wrapped and polished a big wave of tracks we have been working on for years, and launched Percue Records as the platform to release them and step out properly as NEXUS the producers, not just NEXUS the DJs. On top of that, a few special places like AfrikaBurn, our NYC debut and an unforgettable 4hr set at Hive Club reminded us why we do all of this.

WWD: How did your sound evolve? What inspired you this year?

The sound got leaner and more dancefloor-focused. We’re still telling melodic stories and building long arcs, but some of that melodic intensity has made room for cheeky basslines, edgy grooves and classic house energy – a blend of organic/melodic house with our intergalactic side.

WWD: When did you guys first meet and how long was it until you started making music?

We met in 2019 at a Burning Man Decompression and clicked straight away over music. A few days later we were already hanging, jamming, and realising how complementary our tastes were. About a year later we started building our first studio in Zurich, and a year after it was finally done we got kicked out, hit rock bottom, and had to tear the whole thing down and start again. We’ve been producing together for about four years now.

WWD: What made you think it would work, and why does it work?

We never sat down and said “this has to work” – it just felt too good to stop. Our tastes overlap enough to connect, but differ enough to challenge each other, and that tension creates something bigger than what we’d do alone.

WWD: Can you describe each other to us in a few words – do you all have different roles and characteristics in the trio?

Lucian is the structured one and our library gatekeeper – if it’s in the rekordbox, it earned its spot. Lucas is the connector and chaos engine, always sparking ideas and people. Max is the long-game thinker, pushing the vision for NEXUS and Percue forward.

WWD: What are some key bits of gear, software, hardware, FX units etc in your studio that help you get your signature sound?

The Moog Sub 37 for bass and the Oberheim OB-X8 for those lush, emotional chords are core to our sound. Addictive Drums 2 is our secret groove weapon – it has some of the most natural drum recordings and always brings us back to our roots drumming (for Lucas and Max). On the FX side, we love sending sounds through Arturia’s FX plugins and building weird chains. And of course, good speakers are non-negotiable.

WWD: What is on the top of your Christmas list this year?

We just did our “Christmas” on Black Friday setting up the Ibiza studio – furniture, gear, the whole thing. So now the real wish is simple: time to make music in it.

WWD: And what goals and hopes and dreams do you have for 2026?

We want to grow Percue into a go-to label for forward-thinking electronic music, release the tracks we’ve been crafting quietly for years, and take NEXUS as an artist project to new countries we haven’t touched yet.

WWD: What could the dance music scene do better, in your opinion?

More risk, less copy-paste. We’d love to see DJs and labels dig deeper instead of everyone orbiting around similar tracks. The best dancefloors we’ve played are the ones where the crowd is open to not knowing every tune, where the artist can still surprise people. We’re in a great moment for house – it would be amazing to have a bit less pressure from socials and a bit more focus on what actually happens in the room. Less cameras, more goosebumps.

WWD: We couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the chat, guys 🙂
