Today on When We Dip Magazine, we’re delighted to premiere ‘Joy’, the new single from Italian producer Noha, due for worldwide release on February 6 via his own imprint, PanickPanick!.
Following a standout year marked by releases on respected labels such as MicroHertz, Solid Grooves, Revival NYC, ROSSI.HOMOE//GRXWN, and Higher Ground, the imprint curated by Diplo, Noha opens a new chapter with Joy, a confident and forward-moving tech house cut that reflects both momentum and artistic clarity.
Landing on PanickPanick!, the label he founded in 2017, the release signals a fresh phase for both the artist and the imprint. Joy unfolds with warm, propulsive energy, driven by tight, percussive patterns and a rolling low end that anchors the groove from start to finish. Subtle melodic motifs, filtered vocal fragments and finely shaped synth textures drift in and out of the arrangement, creating a natural sense of progression while leaving space for the rhythm to breathe. The result is a focused, groove-led record that reveals new details with every listen.
Speaking about the track, Noha explains: “I wrote ‘Joy’ one afternoon in a café in New York while my friend Nate was writing next to me. We kept passing the headphones back and forth and immediately knew there was something special there. I kept the track close for a long time, waiting for the right moment. It feels right that the new chapter of PanickPanick starts from here.”
Based in Rome, Noha has spent the past decade shaping a sound defined by curiosity and instinct. A major turning point came with his breakthrough single Echo, which surpassed one million streams and brought his project to wider international attention. Since then, he has continued refining his production approach, blending classic house foundations with modern sound design and precise, club-ready arrangements. Alongside his solo work, Noha’s collaboration with Alex Tea under the name Pathagonia led to the widely supported Chi Ci Pensa, further cementing his reputation among selectors and tastemakers. As a DJ, he is known for sets that balance technical precision with playful, fluid energy, bringing his sound to venues and events such as Watergate and Sónar OFF.
