Agoria and his label Sapiens Recordings present ‘Yamamoto’, a new single from Amour Propre, an understated, indie dance–leaning house record built on mood, melody, and late-night momentum.
Amour Propre is a French electronic music duo composed of Sami Benjelloun and Clément Guigou. Known for crafting elegant, emotionally charged club music, the project draws from the legacy of French Touch, techno, indie pop, and deep house. Their sound blends melodic sensitivity with modern production, designed to function on the dancefloor while remaining immersive and expressive beyond it.
Historically, Amour Propre’s work has been rooted in structured, club-conscious forms, patient arrangements, controlled energy, and a focus on atmosphere over excess. With ‘Yamamoto’, the duo leans further into an indie dance and house-driven sensibility. The track loosens its grip on rigid club mechanics, allowing melody and texture to guide progression. It’s warm but restrained, functional without being formulaic, and shaped as much by feeling as by form.
Beyond the studio, Amour Propre has taken this sound to stages worldwide through both DJ performances and, beginning in 2026, a newly introduced live set. The duo has appeared at major festivals and shared lineups with artists including Carl Cox, Âme, Adam Ten, Chris Stussy, MYD, Mita Gami, Carlita, and Mathame.

Their catalogue includes two EPs released via Universal Music France, alongside releases on Diynamic, Rose Avenue, Kitsuné, and Abracadabra, a discography that has positioned Amour Propre well beyond club spaces, while retaining credibility within them.
