We are thrilled to welcome Max Sinàl back to When We Dip Radio with the premiere of ‘Reflection’, the opening cut from his upcoming Healing EP on Soul Quest Records. More than just a club record, the EP is a deeply personal body of work, built around the chapters of Max’s mental health journey and the moments that tested, reshaped and ultimately strengthened it.

‘Reflection’ sets the emotional tone of the project with smooth, lush deep house anchored by warm Rhodes chords and a rich, rolling groove. Longtime collaborator KingCrowney lifts the track with soaring trumpet lines, turning it into a heartfelt dialogue between keys and brass. The result feels timeless, musical and deeply soulful, mirroring a period of introspection that lays the foundation for everything that follows on the EP.

The rest of the project moves through different sonic territories, from the jacking, garage tinged warmth of ‘Maya’ to the broken beat vulnerability of ‘Alone’, before closing with the title track ‘Healing’ featuring Liv East. The reunion with Liv East follows their breakout 2025 anthem ‘Intentions’, and it brings the EP to a close with grace and acceptance, framing healing not as a destination but as an ongoing process.

With over 25 years behind the decks, roots on East London’s pirate radio circuit and accolades that include DJ Mag’s Best Emerging Artist and Blues & Soul’s #1 Artist of Note for 2025, Max Sinàl continues to shape the modern soulful house sound. As co founder of Soul Quest Records, the East London imprint has quickly become a home for forward thinking, soul led house music, and Healing EP is another statement of that vision.
