When We Dip is excited to share the premiere of ‘Still’, a captivating new cut from Surmillo that lands as part of his debut EP on the iconic Yoshitoshi imprint. Marking a meaningful milestone for the rising producer, the ‘Water EP’ brings together two tracks, ‘Water’ and ‘Still’, that showcase the melodic, atmospheric, and dance floor focused side of his sound.

‘Still’ is a beautiful ride through pop dance, electronica, and indie dance textures. Surmillo layers warm synths, hypnotic grooves, and emotive melodies into a track that feels both intimate and uplifting, the kind of record that pulls you in early and keeps building with quiet intensity. It is a statement of intent that fits perfectly within Yoshitoshi’s eclectic vision while staying true to Surmillo’s own signature.

The project traces back to a New Year’s Eve studio session, when revisiting an old demo sparked an immediate moment of clarity. That spontaneity carries through the release, aligning with the artist’s ethos: “LOVE. DRAMA. MUSICK.”

Surmillo has been quietly building one of the most exciting catalogs in the indie dance world, with releases on labels such as Diynamic, Unheard, Buttress, Melody Lab, and now Yoshitoshi. His standout single ‘Adventure Time’ on Diynamic became one of the most loved indie dance tracks of recent years, earning support from a wide range of respected artists. With each new EP he refines his blend of melodic and atmospheric production, and the ‘Water EP’ continues that trajectory in confident fashion.

Yoshitoshi has been a defining force in dance music since 1994. Founded and run by Grammy winning producer Sharam, the label has shaped the worlds of house, techno, and progressive sounds for over three decades, releasing music from many of the genre’s most influential names. Welcoming Surmillo into the family with the ‘Water EP’ feels like a natural fit, the kind of pairing that highlights both the artist’s growth and the label’s continued openness to fresh, forward thinking voices.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Still’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
