Futurescope returns with ‘FUTURESCOPE: REVISION’, a compilation that revisits key moments from Dee Montero’s catalogue through a curated collection of reinterpretations released on the label over the past six years. Featuring remixes from Patrice Bäumel, Rodriguez Jr., Fort Romeau, Lauer and more, the project bridges past releases with the present, reshaping the label’s evolving sonic identity through deeper club cuts and inward journeys.
Today’s premiere lands on one of the collection’s standout moments. Patrice Bäumel takes Dee Montero’s ‘Meridian’ and reshapes it into a deep, cinematic rework that trades brightness for shadow and tension. Patient and hypnotic, the remix builds with a controlled sense of momentum, layering hazy textures and a deep low end beneath a melody that slowly unfolds across the floor. It is a late night journey in the truest sense, designed to pull listeners inward rather than lift them skyward.
Patrice Bäumel has long been one of electronic music’s most distinctive voices. The Lisbon based artist has built a reputation for emotive, club focused productions and seminal tracks like ‘Roar’ and ‘Mutant’, earning releases and remixes across labels such as Kompakt and Afterlife while playing some of the world’s most respected stages.
Dee Montero, the original architect of ‘Meridian’, is a producer and DJ whose sound is shaped by melodic depth, tribal groove and cinematic atmosphere. In 2020 he founded Futurescope, a label born from his love of retro futurism and beautifully melodic compositions, and it has since become a home for forward thinking electronic music with collaborators including Patrice Bäumel and Rodriguez Jr. With ‘REVISION’, the label looks back across six years of releases while pointing firmly toward what comes next.
