ILINX opens its doors to a fresh new name with ‘Burnin”, the label debut of Barcelona-based young producer Tenvin. The two-track EP arrives with a remix of the title track by Istanbul veteran Murat Uncuoglu, and today we are proud to share his version with you.
In its original form, ‘Burnin” goes straight to the point: a driving four-to-the-floor beat, a house-oriented mood, captivating vocal elements and a penetrating synth come together in a contemporary club cut that stays faithful to the roots of classic house music. Murat Uncuoglu wastes no time making his signature recognizable, pulling the track into a distinctly more indie and aggressive direction. Sharper electronic textures and an edgier sonic palette give the remix a personality of its own, while the original’s core identity and dancefloor focus remain firmly intact. Completing the EP, ‘I’m Fresh’ explores the darker side of Tenvin’s house sound, pairing a stripped-back, immersive approach with a piercing synth and a melodic break that delivers the record’s most atmospheric moment before the groove takes over again.
Murat Uncuoglu is one of the true pioneers of Turkish club culture. After returning to Istanbul in 1994, he became the resident DJ at Club 2019, the city’s first legendary underground club, and co-founded Radio 2019, Turkey’s very first electronic music radio station. Through his MiracleWorkz project, remixes for Turkish stars such as Tarkan and Sertap Erener, and residencies at landmark venues like 7th House and Switch, he has played a key role in putting Istanbul on the global club map.
On the other side of the Mediterranean, Tenvin is a rising talent from Barcelona whose productions blend a modern approach with the timeless attitude of house music. ILINX, a label built around the idea of a short word with a boundless vision, continues to bring together emerging producers and seasoned selectors with a release that bridges two generations of dancefloor energy.
