Truancy has announced the release of his self-titled EP through Cadence and Cause. Not only is the EP full of beautifully composed tracks but all of the proceeds from the EP will go to a great cause.  On his Facebook page he says “All of the proceeds from this release are being donated to shelters, to ensure that the animals are happy and healthy during the adoption process! A few dollars can go a long way…” Truancy also goes on to say “I’ve spent time volunteering at local animal rescues and in that time I’ve seen just how in need these facilities are. The shelters are very dependent on volunteers and donations to ensure that the animals they are housing remain safe and healthy. If this campaign can raise enough money to assist 30 animals in shelters, I will be absolutely elated!”

Truancy has remained on our radar ever since we heard his “Minimal Love” track on Nite Records “Summer Nites” compilation and we were very excited to hear his latest EP. The opening track “Feels Like” is high tempo with an extremely hypnotic synth that surrounds a male vocal sample that changes pitch from normal to something alien like. “Feels Like” sets up the EP beautifully to take the listener on an incredible musical journey. “Queen” feat. WebsterX has a really raw and gritty sound to it and it starts off as a slightly mellow track but quickly transforms into the complete opposite, the deep bass, the dynamic synths and striking beats give this track an impressive energy. “French”, is a track that will certainly get everyone racing to the dancefloor, it engages the listener through beautiful melodies and synths that captivate every part of you. “Muscle Milk” has a minimal groove to it and captures that all important feel good vibe. Finally “Within Our Love” contains a seductive female vocal, slowly transitioning into soft beats and powerful synths that end this EP on a high. Truancy has yet again produced a unique and irresistible EP that is going to leave every single listener wanting more. A compelling EP from a man where everything he touches turns to gold. 10/10.

You can donate by purchasing the EP through Cadence and Cause here.
