This week we’ve a spectacular treat from Barcelona-based label Suara. Big cat Coyu and crew have stopped by to share an exclusive preview of the imprint’s latest release. Christmas has come early fam!

Stepping into the spotlight are former Diynamic and Get Physical producers Audio Junkies, who have delivered a top notch new EP with the help of both Ruede Hagelstein and Maxxi Soundsystem, who shine with two exquisite remixes.

Lead track ‘Vividness’, a collaboration with Haptic, offers an intricate deep tech experience, blending an eery lead synth with a solid groove and a hypnotic vocal on repeat.  Track two ‘Lalitha’ with Sahar Z takes a progressive turn. It’s another impressive deep concoction, which brings an engrossing set of textures to the table in a euphoric manner, making for an optimal set closer. ‘Demodulator’ closes out the Audio Junkies efforts raising the energy beautifully with a throbbing bass-line and a shuffling set of rapid fire hi-hats. The surface is coated with a mystical arpeggiator, which pulls the listener deep into a seven minute journey of supreme sounds.

Suara calls on two well-established talents in Ruede Hagelstein and Maxxi Soundsystem for the remixes of  “Vividness”. Hagelstein takes on the lead track with his own unique twist, bringing a deep acid influence to the fore while centring the presence of the vocal. On the other side, Maxxi has rendered a more groove-focused affair, a near eight minute cut sprinkled with tasteful melodic touches. On the whole, one of the most impressive releases this year from Suara.
