Miami: rightfully nicknamed the Magic City. But Myami? Well, although not technically a city, this underground label is certainly putting out some magic: and it’s coming in the form Louie Anderson’s Stereo EP.

Following big releases on Mark Radford’s Audio Rehab, as well as the Italian Chapeau Music more recently, Anderson will be joining the likes of fellow deep house producers Limitless and Nightshift with this one. Earphones in and sun cream on: it’s about to get hot in Myami.

The title track, Stereo, features a playful bassline with a reverberating vocal sample attached. A funky echo in the background helps create that old school vibe, while fast hitting hi hats up the tempo, forming a track that feels deep and jazzy all at the same time. This will get groovers raving alright.

Anderson then shows us a darker, deeper side with the accurately titled Uppercut. A bouncy bassline is swiftly faded out as the hi hats are brought in before we’re smacked in the face by a strong and punchy snare drum. This gives way to an aggressive driving bassline, reminiscent of Patrick Topping’s Boxed Off, that relentlessly assaults our ears and the low pitched vocal sample only adds to this. Stripped down and dirty, this has got 4am written all over it.

In just two tracks Louie Anderson manages to cater for all house heads. Whether you’re feeling jazzy or dark, groovy or deep, this UK talent has got it covered. With the release date set for the 27th of June, this is definitely one you don’t want to miss.
