Carl Cox has been a dominating force in the world of electronic music for well over a decade. One of the most charismatic and respected DJ’s in the world, he has a reputation for being able to take control of the dance floor, and his label Intec is part of his legacy in music.

In 2019, Intec released a solo album from Dutch producer Roel Salemink that was well received by both critics and clubbers alike. There was also a part one remix pack featuring new versions of key tracks on the LP reworked by the likes of The YellowHeads, Drumcomplex and Nakadia. Part two of the remix pack adds one extra rework to the package, and this time it’s a version produced by Carl Cox himself.

Carl Cox has picked out ‘Eskes’ and added to its poignant mood to make the perfect end of the night track tailor made to bring an epic DJ set to a close, or provide a well-timed moment of respite in the middle of a thumping peak time set.

Complete with Carl’s trademark chunky production and tough percussion, the track has uplifting strings layered with soaring pads and piano stabs. Vibrant and full of contrast, it has an upbeat groove that keeps the energy on the dance floor flowing.

Masterfully done, it takes all of the elements that vitalised the original version and he makes subtle changes to further refine the track so it’s even more captivating.
