A new signing to the Watergate Agency, we are proud to introduce Kid Simius for his label debut. The Granada-born artist and adopted Berliner is a musical Chameleon, producing across the musical gamut – from surf-inspired electronica to Balaeric, disco, and beyond. Always fresh and positive, his inspired output has been like a moth to a flame for some of the industry’s finest tastemakers. Just ask Whomadewho and Major Lazer, who’ve both tapped him to support them at shows, while the likes of Paul Kalkbrenner and Fort Romeau have contributed remixes to his Jirafa Records imprint. On the production front, the sunny grooves of his ‘Chicken Mango’ EP was a recent standout and also saw Gerd Janson contribute a remix, while Spanish indie band Hinds featured on one of the cuts.

‘International Olympics’ has a fun retro sheen, mixing up sleek synths, vintage drums, and breathy throwback vox from Bamboleira. File under: a feel-good record every set needs. ‘Romeo’ has a similar flex, as ascendent keys build up a full-bodied nu-dance workout.
