Simon Vuarambon is well known throughout the deep and melodic scene as a producer with immense quality. His work on All Day I Dream, Souksonic, and Shanti Radio over the years has positioned Simon at the forefront of bespoke sound with no signs of slowing down.

Last year, the Swiss artist connected with Gorje Hewek’s new label Peace Symphonies for a blissful single – Lazos – which propelled Vuarambon into the forefront of our scene’s collective attention. As we enter a period of dance revival, Simon & Gorje connect yet again to set up a brand new EP from Vuarambon on Shanti Radio.

The A-side arrives in the form of 1996, a groove-laced number with soaring melodics which stir the senses. Directed at dreamy dancefloors, rich percussion and revolving rhythms set the vibe from start to finish. Lush builds position 1996 as an immense dancefloor tool, which is sure to find its way into the hands of the globes finest selectors.

On the flip, swirling synthetics greet us in the early stages of the B-side Quimera. A punchy kick shifts us into gear, as analog-tinged stabs bring a touch of timelessness. Deep tones ebb & flow throughout the arrangement, while never sacrificing the foundational floaty groove.

Both tunes from this pairing are set to ignite summer dancefloors around the world, and leave dancers yearning for more from the Vuarambon studio.

The 1996 / Quimera EP is available on all digital platforms now, and the vinyl 12” will arrive just in time for summer.
