Mark Hawkins has been a mainstay of Aus Music and the underground scene for years. He is an accomplished studio wizard who can do a dizzying array of styles with equal energy and emotion. His adaptability has kept him en vogue ever since he first emerged from the UK party scene in the 90s. He has played all over the world but now focuses on refining his production and engineering skills evermore as he follows up his recent LP on the label with this fresh new offering.

‘Open Hearted’ rides on a broken beat electro rhythm with surging chords washing over you like a wave of emotion. An aloof but sensuous female vocal is a perfect hook as the kinetic drums make you move, and the psychedelic synths stay busy in the background. The equally brilliant ‘Let U Fall’ is a gorgeous and bright house cut with an alluring R&B vocal. There are hints of modern hip-hop production in the snappy snares and colourful synth details, while rich piano chords and driving drums are sure to sweep the dance and floor up and away.
