Breakout artist Volaris steps into 2024 with a bang in ‘Close To You,’ the first release on his brand new label imprint, HORIZN.
‘Close To You’ is an alluring journey through synth-told stories. Clocking in at just under six minutes, the track showcases Volaris’ signature style – a fusion of scintillating synths flanked with raw energy that has become a true sonic trademark for the rising star. “Close To You” is followed by a Simon Doty remix on February 15 via HORIZN.
Echoing the pioneering spirit of his music, Volaris takes a monumental leap into uncharted territory with the launch of his musical brainchild, HORIZN, a new joint venture between Volaris and newly formed industry powerhouse The Circuit Group. Circuit boasts master & publishing rights to over 3000 songs, totalling more than 5 Billion combined streams and 8 GRAMMY nominations. Their roster includes Chris Lake, deadmau5, Camden Cox, FISHER, HoneyLuv, NERO, Ninajirachi, and many more. More than just a label, HORIZN is a sonic realm where boundaries are shattered, and artistic freedom reigns supreme.

Nathan’s journey into Volaris is nothing short of remarkable. Through a number of distinctive music projects, a battle with cancer, and a new badge of fatherhood, Nathan’s evolution culminated in the creation of Volaris, marking a relentless pursuit to challenge conventions and leave an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape. In 2023, Volaris was named one of Dancing Astronaut’s Artists To Watch, a title well-earned through his career-defining year. Living up to the accolade, Volaris’ year was defined by releases on John Summit’s Experts Only (formerly Off The Grid Records), Deadmau5’s mau5trap, Nora En Pure’s Purified Records, Solardo’s Sola and Armada, to name a few. 2023 also saw Volaris grace stages at Printworks, Brooklyn Mirage, Echostage, Red Rocks, Radius Chicago, and Pepsi Center in Mexico, amongst others.
In conjunction with the release of ‘Close To You,’ Volaris has announced a special live stream event in February, taking place at Defected Records’ London event space. The live stream will serve as a fundraiser for Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the medical institution that played a crucial role in Volaris’ personal battle against cancer. “It was really important for me to use this label as a vehicle to give back to those that have helped me and many others through the darkest times,” said Volaris.
