Nearly 20 years after the original, Grammy-winning duo Deep Dish return with a fresh re-imagining of their 2005 hit, ‘Say Hello.’ Part of a string of releases marking their return after a decade away, the ‘Goes Peak’ mix, due out on 13th December via Armada Music, is the driving follow-up to November’s softer, afro-tech-leaning ‘Goes Deep’ remix.

Both versions of ‘Say Hello’ centre around its captivating vocals, each delivering a fresh and modern reinterpretation. While the ‘Goes Deep’ version nods to the original’s zany nature heading in its own deeper afrohouse direction, the ‘Peak’ remix transforms the track into a chugging techno version built for peak-time at the rave. The emotive melancholy of the original remains, altogether in a futuristic realm surrounded by sharp drums and velvety rich, contemporary synths.

After dropping two updated remixes of their 2004 hit ‘Flashdance’ in October, Deep Dish–made up of Dubfire and Sharam–are in the midst of a major comeback. Known for their boundary-pushing sound, they became icons of progressive house through classics like ‘Dreams’ and ‘The Future of the Future (Stay Gold)’, attracting remixes for major names including Madonna, Eminem, Justin Timberlake and Dido.

On Saturday, December 7th, Deep Dish crossed the Atlantic for their first UK performance in a decade, taking over London’s The Cause with an intimate all-night-long extended DJ set. They’re set to return to the 1,000-cap venue on December 20th (buy tickets). This landmark show followed another open-to-close set at New York’s Somewhere Nowhere on December 5th, with another highly anticipated appearance at the club scheduled for December 21st (buy tickets).

With the ‘Goes Peak’ remix of 2005’s classic ‘Say Hello’ iconic Deep Dish duo are revitalising their distinct sound for modern dancefloors. Be sure to keep an eye out for more music from this re-emerging, much-loved dance institution very soon.

You can now listen to the full premiere of the ‘Say Hello’ Goes Peak mix, exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
