‘Sri Lanka x Amsterdam’ marks the second release and debut compilation from Synthesis Recordings. It’s a project born from the spirit of cultural exchange between Sri Lanka’s thriving underground and Amsterdam Dance Event — the world’s most influential gathering for electronic music.

The release shines a spotlight on Sri Lanka’s progressive house talent, bringing the island’s distinctive sound to a global audience. From Subandrio’s deep, cinematic layers to Nishan Lee’s finely tuned grooves, and Kyotto’s forward-thinking textures, each contribution reflects the richness and range of Sri Lanka’s electronic scene.

A-Jay (SL), a well-recognized figure in the local circuit, brings his signature sound and energy to the compilation, while rising talent YOMAL adds fresh momentum with his unique sonic identity. Collaborations such as Lavie Au Soleil & Oreiente add vibrant new dimensions, and with Marco Fredrick and KaZkO rounding out the lineup, the compilation captures a collective statement: Sri Lanka’s underground doesn’t just hold promise — it already commands world-class attention.

With ‘Sri Lanka x Amsterdam,’ the country’s sound takes its place on one of the biggest international stages, embracing the true spirit of ADE: connection, discovery, and the shared future of electronic music.
