Producer and DJ JOHANNSON links up with Kevin McKay for their latest single, ‘Do It All For You’ via Glasgow Underground. A production characterised by its rhythmic precision and atmospheric depth, this newest release delivers a blend of groove and melodic resonance. Grounded in a House music foundation, the track offers a cohesive sound – one that reflects JOHANNSON’s artistic direction whilst highlighting his strength in collaborative work.
Founded by Nenad Jovanovic, the JOHANNSON project draws on over twenty-five years of experience within Electronic Music, building on a foundation shaped by live performances across Europe while continuing to explore his creative potential in the studio. With a strong foundation in live DJing, he channels his instinct for the dancefloor into his production work, translating his understanding of rhythm and functionality into each original track. As he draws inspiration from the early synth-driven sounds of pioneers like Jean-Michel Jarre and Giorgio Moroder, JOHANNSON continues to refine his own signature style: articulating his vision and prioritising emotional connection and sonic atmosphere.
Now, working alongside Kevin McKay, founder of Glasgow Underground, JOHANNSON expands his reach further, teaming up with a Producer and DJ whose career reflects a similarly broad scope. From his early production beginnings in the 1990s to building Glasgow Underground into a leading name on the House circuit – releasing material from artists such as Claptone and Dennis Cruz – Kevin McKay also brings a depth of experience that underpins the collaboration, resulting in a track that feels refined and reflective of both artists’ creative maturity.
With ‘Do It All For You,’ the pair construct a vibrant soundscape, unfolding through a driving, delicate beat and syncopated percussion. A steady pulse maintains the momentum of the track, while a resonant bassline provides a solid foundation for the arrangement to expand. Through bright, rolling vocal loops, shimmering synth textures and pulsating leads, the production builds into an uplifting and immersive landscape, layering evocative melodies with a balance of momentum and warmth.
