Rotterdam’s Ferré is part of a new wave of artists reshaping the club landscape through instinct, openness, and a deep-rooted connection to rhythm. As both a DJ and cultural catalyst, through his work with WORM and the Anda Electronix collective, his sound is less about fitting into a single lane and more about exploring the spaces in between. That same ethos carries into his debut ‘KODE’ EP on Infinite Pleasure, where electro, breaks, and global influences converge into something fluid yet purposeful.

Ferré stops by WWD to trace the records that helped define his sonic identity. From lo-fi house and hypnotic electro to soulful R&B and footwork chaos, these selections reflect a wide-ranging palette shaped by early discoveries, family influences, and time spent deep in the club. Each track offers a glimpse into the sounds and moments that continue to inform his approach in the booth and the studio, bridging introspection with movement, and nostalgia with forward-thinking energy.

Baltra – ‘Untitled (A)’

I used to have a very long lo-fi music era where I mostly listened to sad songs, but didn’t feel sad. I was really intrigued by how different chords were used. Then I discovered early Mall Grab and Baltra, and they knew how to use those samples and make Lo-fi house where you could chill to, but also dance. And the distorted mix adds to that vibe for me, really like that contrast!

DJ Swisha, OSSX – ‘HOW U FEELIN’

I love to hear a lot of different influences in tracks. For me this track is real inspiration because of the bouncy Jersey Club style drums, smooth soulful chords and R&B style vocals. Huge fan of most OSSX, Swisha’s productions.

Ehua – ‘Aria’

The rhythms and melody is very hypnotic for me, but also really danceable and eclectic. There are so many little percussive elements to this track and it keeps on evolving the longer and more you listen to it. I could listen to this track and Ehua’s productions for hours and not get bored.

Malin Genie – ‘Rolas’

This track just keeps on rollin and rollin. Not that many elements but just very well executed and a hypnotic melody to accompany the drums. This used to be one of my favorite house tracks to open a night with.

Brownstone – ‘If you love me’

I had an Uncle who would always rip the latest albums and would make a compilation CD for me. I clearly remember he always used to put some Oldskool R&B bangers on there, even though I was like only 9 or 10 years old. The chord progressions and vocals on those tracks really brought me in, still trying to make an edit out of this. Maybe someday.

Kanye West – ‘Flashing Lights’

When I first started listening to music, it was because of my older brothers who used to have a bunch of Hip-hop CDs laying around the house. I remember putting on the first Kanye West Album and was blown away by the use of all those different samples and making something new out of it.

Dopplereffekt – ‘Cellular Phone’

All time electro classic, what more can I say?

DJ Rashad – ‘Let U No’

The way everything is this track moves around and ends up as a beautiful chaotic mess is amazing to me. DJ rashad keeps the vocal running throughout, chops it up, adds different drum patterns and the melody even gets flipped a few times. You could dance to this track or just vibe with it, really something else. RIP DJ Rashad.

Samwho – ‘Licks’

I really love the different rhythms in this track, hard hitting drums and smooth melody and vocals all throughout. When Sam was working on this track I got a but of insight in his production process, and it was a huge help form my own workflow. Besides that, def one of my favorite electronic tracks of the past years.
