Audiojack and Kevin Knapp are back together on Crosstown Rebels for a third instalment of their long-running creative partnership, and this time they bring two cuts of pure dancefloor fire under the banner of the ‘Get It’ EP. Following 2017’s ‘Implications’ EP and 2021’s ‘Under Your Skin’ EP, this new collaboration confirms once again why the Leeds born, Ibiza based duo and the US house stalwart make such a formidable studio team when they link up on Damian Lazarus’ iconic imprint.

The title track, which we are thrilled to premiere today, is built around momentum from start to finish. A tightly wound bassline rolls underneath rattling cowbells and a brooding low end, while Kevin Knapp’s commanding vocal drops give the cut its mantra like edge and push it into peak time weapon territory. As Audiojack put it, ‘Get It’ is all about momentum and motivation, a track designed to lift you up and make you go harder, whatever you happen to be doing. Knapp adds his own perspective, describing the record as a sonic expression of being in charge of your own destiny and the idea that you get out of life what you put into it. The flip side, ‘This Frequency’, follows a similar club focused logic, with an unfolding tracking groove, a wobbling melodic synth line and an electro tinged bassline that draws you deeper into the spell.

Audiojack are Richard Burkinshaw and James Rial, a duo who have spent over two decades at the forefront of the underground. As bosses of the respected Gruuv imprint, they have shaped a signature blend of house, minimal and garage influences that has landed on labels like Hot Creations, Solid Grooves and 8bit. Kevin Knapp continues to push his own chunky and vibrant take on house music across the globe, with a busy schedule of international shows at venues such as fabric, Circo Loco and Elrow, plus a string of releases on Cuttin Headz, Repopulate Mars, Desert Hearts and his own Plump Recordings.

Crosstown Rebels, founded by the ever visionary Damian Lazarus, has been a defining voice in the global underground for over two decades, championing forward thinking house, techno and everything in between. Welcoming Audiojack and Kevin Knapp back to the label feels like a natural reunion of like minded artists, and ‘Get It’ is exactly the kind of confident, dancefloor driven statement that has defined the imprint since day one.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Get It’ exclusively on When We Dip and ‘This Frequency’ on our sister channel Dancefloor Romancer. Enjoy!
