Belgian DJ and producer Nikka Lorak steps up for our Prima Lux series with a relentless, high octane techno mix built for the peak of the night.
Before turning her full attention to the booth, Nikka Lorak built a career as a film director, and that cinematic instinct still shapes everything she does, from production and performance to branding and visual storytelling. A global citizen and sustainability activist, she has a weakness for melodic breakdowns and fist pumping drops, blending emotional tension with raw, uncompromising energy. Her journey behind the decks continues to reach new territories, most recently with a tour of India that included sold out headline sets at Raeeth and Dynamo in Goa, alongside dates in Mumbai, Mangalore and Mysore.
2026 marks a major new chapter for Nikka with the launch of her own label, Cruel Kind. Conceived as a home for electronic rockstars, the imprint champions attitude, personality and genre defying artists who deliver real impact on the dancefloor, with plans to grow into a wider platform spanning events, fashion and support for emerging talent. The label kicked off with her own peak time weapon ‘Control’, following her collaboration ‘Signs’ alongside Patrick Scuro and The Post Brothers on Animarum.
Her Prima Lux mix is a full throttle ride from start to finish. Maddix sets the tone with ‘We Rave’ before ‘Voodoo People’ from lonelysoul. and ‘Hooked on the Bassline’ from Gabry Ponte and Marie Vaunt crank up the pressure. Acid runs through the heart of the selection, with Marie Vaunt’s ‘Kiss My Acid’, NAEMS’ ‘Slave 2 The Acid’ and Roberto Molinaro and T78’s ‘Bombacid’ keeping the 303s squealing, while rave flavoured cuts like Warp Brothers and Flymeon’s ‘Phatt Bass’ add a dose of nostalgia. Nicole Moudaber and Space 92’s ‘Eyes On Me’ and Enveak and SAMDMA’s ‘Avalanche’ then bring things home in thunderous fashion.
Loud, bold and unapologetic, it is a mix that captures exactly what Cruel Kind stands for.
