Scippo is back home on Flown Records with ‘2 the Moon and Back’, a techno-driven single that marks the 27th release on the imprint he co-founded. It’s a record that proves you don’t need a dozen layers to move a dancefloor, just the right groove and the patience to let it breathe.

‘2 the Moon and Back’ is built around a steady, rolling rhythm and warm analog-inspired textures that give the whole thing a subtle vintage glow. The track slips into a hypnotic flow early on and keeps you locked in, while a raw edge underneath stops it from ever sounding too polished. It’s simple, direct and unapologetically functional, the kind of cut that hits hardest late at night with the lights down low. With this one, Scippo keeps digging into that sweet spot between old-school energy and a more modern approach to sound.

Born in Río Gallegos, deep in Argentina’s Patagonia, Scippo started studying music at 15 before moving to Buenos Aires and later settling in Barcelona. His first releases landed in 2019 on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, and he has since appeared on Nick Warren’s Balance Series and Lee Burridge’s Tale & Tone, as well as Hope Recordings, where his ‘Wave’ EP climbed to number two on Beatport. Along the way, his music has been supported by the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Lee Burridge.

Flown Records, the label Scippo runs alongside fellow producer Figueras, has become a trusted home for deep, hypnotic and forward-thinking club music, moving freely between progressive and techno. Twenty-seven releases in, ‘2 the Moon and Back’ shows the label is still flying high.
