Barcelona-based producer Makebo has spent the past few years shaping some of the most soulful sounds in organic and progressive house, with releases on Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream and Lost Miracle, and as co-founder of the beloved Rubicunda imprint alongside Amonita. Now he opens an exciting new chapter with Random Shadow, a fresh label of his own, and fittingly the story begins with ‘From Zero’, the very first release on the imprint.

Built around one simple idea, that great music comes first, Random Shadow is open to artists, producers and sounds from anywhere, with no strict genre boundaries. It is meant as a home for talent, creativity and unexpected collaborations, a place for music that feels honest and fresh, the kind that makes you stop, listen and feel something.

‘From Zero’ sees Makebo stepping into a deeper and more progressive dimension of his sound. The track moves patiently, building its atmosphere layer by layer as a steady, hypnotic groove carries evolving melodies and subtle textures. Tension gathers slowly beneath the surface, melodic fragments drift in and out, and nothing arrives too early. There is a real sense of space throughout, giving the music room to breathe and unfold into something that feels both familiar and unknown.
