Brooklyn based Galcher Lustwerk first came up on our radars with tracks like “This is how we roll” and White Material releases such as “Put on“. With his signature style of laid back house his music is always instantly recognisable. It seems like nobody sounds quite like Galcher.

He has returned on his own imprint this time, Lustwerk music. For anyone that may have heard his “100% GALCHER” promo mix then these tracks will be a welcome reminder to you. Opening up is the title track “Parlay”, featuring soft drums and a swirling backing melody with chords washing in and out along with the classic Galcher vocals that are the cherry on top of any of his tracks. Half talking half singing these vocals will get the whole club singing along too. Next up is something a bit more different, Dockside. Just as slow and continuing the ever cool and chilled out vibe that Galcher projects in his music. Again it features the signature vocal, just as good as the first. Easy listening and a delight to the ears.

Over on the flip side is Kaint. With a more airy, gospel type chords entering at the start it creates a euphoric atmosphere. Eyes closed hands up kind of music. Slow and relaxed, it follows suit with the rest of the record. Then enter the vocals, booming and deep a stark contrast to the melody but together they go together oh so well. They jump in and out with only a single word. REMEMBER. I get the feeling this will feature in sunrise sets on warm sandy beaches in the not too distance future. The final bite in this delicious record is a bonus dub version of the title track. Lacking the vocals that feature on the original but it retains all of its groove. This is a quality record from one of the most exciting producers around. It is also out in record stores around the globe at this very second. So get up and get yourself a copy before they are all gone.
