Leisure Music Productions welcome Andreas Weisz, Max Doblhoff and Alai K on their label. Three amazing artists who put their hearts and voices together to bring out this fantastic Afro House EP called Niwache. All music in this EP comes from live recordings and was put together from those amazing talents featuring the incredible voice of Alai K, hailing from Kenia.
Since 1993 Max Doblhoff is a well know artist in the Austrian and European music scene, as resident DJ in some of Vienna’s most famous clubs and touring with his music mostly in the form of live performance in more than 15 countries worldwide. For many years he has a close relationship with African rhythms and travels to East Africa on a regular basis. His music can be also found on Moblack Recordss, Afro Rebel Music, Madorasindahouse and many more.
Andreas Weisz is also no newcomer to the scene and like Max also comes from Austria. From the very start Andreas Weisz claimed a very characteristic sound-aesthetic: club-oriented and beat-driven, but also tricky, deep and most of all – soulful. With his productions he already gained a lot of attention. In 2011 Andreas and his brother Sascha aka Megablast founded the recordlabel „Luv Lite Recordings’ and also teamed up under their artist alias Weisz². With their first release „El Vagabundo’ they allready gained a lot of success.
Alai K aka Disco Vumbi produces a mix of electronic music and live instruments, featuring Mijikenda rhythms. Chakache and Benga music. The name Disco Vumbi refers to a saying from the 1070’s when people would go out to a dance in the streets and came home covered in dust ( vumbi). Alai K has been in the Kenyan music industry since 1995, starting out with the Hip Hop collective Ukoo Flani and afterward pursuing his solo career as a singer and songwriter.
So friends and fam.. watch out for this one, because those 3 have cooked up something really nice for you. Niwache is a fantastic organic Afro House EP, featuring live recordings from percussion to various other live instruments, enhanced by smooth electronic elements.
The title track ‘Niwache’ is a funky positive and upbeat organic Afro House track with a great groove. When hearing it, you are immediately taken to a virgin beach, dancing and drinking lovely cocktails. This track is all about a positive vibe and getting your groove on.
‘Pendesa’ is a more club oriented track also featuring fantastic percussive elements and smart synth progressions. A great Afro dance track for every Afro House set.
