A longtime favorite in his native country, Turkish producer Gad Mitrani makes his debut on Balance Music with a single that makes a strong case for being one of his best-ever outings. Joining him on remix duties is the talented Dutch artist Alex O’Rion, who turns in an exquisite rework that adds more groove to the original whilst keeping the essence intact. All up, this is an essential release.

The engine room of ‘Gone’ consists of a warm kick and comforting bass, setting the scene for a soaring melody that builds beautifully into a serene breakdown, and with the vocal sung by Gadi Mitrani, this truly is emotive dance music of the highest order. The instrumental version of ‘Gone’ excludes the vocal to make space for an even more intense and introspective workout.

The Alex O’Rion remix replaces the bass with a groove-based line that gallops at a steady pace. The vocal is employed playfully alongside other effects, which does an easy job of keeping your attention. The breakdown, however, is where the magic truly lies; it’s vintage progressive, using the euphoric melody and beautiful vocal with clever repetition to build and build into a highly satisfying drop.

You can now listen to the full premiere of Alex O’Rion’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
