Kora and his label Saisons reunited with their talented friend Dexter Crowe for his very first original EP titled ‘Platypus’. With this energetic release, they explore a unique and captivating sonic spectrum by one of Australia’s most creative producers.

The first track ‘Platypus’ is an imaginative bass-driven percussive piece, inspired by one of the most interesting animals on Earth, native to Australia’s unique biodiversity.

In his own words, the Montreal-based producer explains the origin of the title: “Somehow the feeling of this beautiful mix of both dangerous and cute, maternal yet independent seemed to fit with the song. It has some darker elements and emotions but still carries a certain lightness and optimism.”

For the second track, Dexter Crowe invites us to the immersive destination of ‘Apoth’, taking us away from terra firma. A voyage into deep space where the music mysteriously interlocks synth melodies and powerful rhythms, a journey that feels like a cosmic ride through the galaxy, passing by lost worlds and distant nebulas.

Dexter is an essential member of the Saisons label family in Montréal and we are excited to witness his music ascension, fuelled by his inspiring dedication and passion. Saions couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate their 20th release.
