A wealth of unique creative minds come together for the latest single on New York’s ever more crucial One Tribe Records, including Nhii. He makes music without genre boundaries and always aims to imbue his work with real human emotion on labels like Sol Selectas and Rebellion. For this one, he links up once again with occasional collaborator HARJI. This multi-disciplined artist makes percussive sounds which draw inspiration from Latin and Punjabi folk music and many other electronic styles.

Here, the duo enlist featured guest Mat Brooker for the superb ‘Y Que Tengo,’ an enchanting cut packed with melancholy. The organic groove is layered with shimmering synths and exotic strings that bring a worldly feel. Rhythmic percussive claps and delicate acoustic guitars add charm to this most musical and emotional gem. Remixer Joeski has been shaping the American underground since the 90s with his influential DJ sets, residencies and productions, most often on his own Maya Records. His version of ‘Y Que Tengo’ is just as emotionally dramatic thanks to the heartbreaking guitar strings and fluttering percussion that detail the captivating drums. Last of all, an extended mix of the original offers evermore elongated dancefloor thrills.
