Mat Zo returns to mau5trap with ‘Disco Boy,’ available now on all platforms.  The track marks a triumphant return to the electro house and progressive house sounds that dominated the electronic music scene in the late 2000s, offering a fresh yet familiar vibe that fans of Zo and deadmau5 will instantly recognize and appreciate.

A whirring blend of intricate layers of house, ‘Disco Boy’ is a fresh take on electro and progressive sounds. Best characterized by its driving energy and intoxicating bassline, ‘Disco Boy’ continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, creating a track that is both a celebration of the past and a bold step forward. Zo’s signature production style and meticulous attention to detail craft a compelling feature to dive back into over and over again.

In ‘Disco Boy,’ Mat Zo pays homage to the aughts of mau5trap, drawing inspiration from deadmau5 and the label’s early releases that helped define the electro and progressive house genres. The track’s driving beats and melodic progression evoke the sound of deadmau5’s early work, with a modern twist that breathes new life into the classic mau5trap aesthetic. Fans of the 2009/2010 era of the label will find themselves transported back in time, while new listeners will discover a track that perfectly encapsulates the essence of what makes mau5trap a legendary name in electronic music.

As one of the most innovative and influential artists in the scene, Mat Zo proves once again that his music is as timeless as it is groundbreaking.
