TAU welcomes a new arrival to the label in the form of Kadosh. Over the past five years, Kadosh has shown an unwavering commitment to making and playing music. His high work ethic and natural talent carved a path to success, with an array of high-profile gigs and releases in recent times. Tracks with Innervision, Disco Halal, and Live At Robert Johnson, plus shows at fabric, Stereo in Montreal, Nitsa, and Watergate, have demonstrated his widespread appeal and recognition by some of the most influential outfits in electronic music. With the ‘Intention’ EP, he drops two original cuts, giving TAU fans a taste of his impeccable production skills.

First up is the title track, featuring vocalist Joplyn. A sultry groove sets things off, with Joplyn’s equally sensual voice uttering “I wanna be felt, not touched.”  The lyrics are all about having deeper intentions when it comes to connecting. Kadosh builds the atmosphere steadily, increasing the energy until we reach a breakdown. His sound design incorporates a range of unusual percussive elements and effects. After the break, Joplyn’s full vocal comes into play, accompanied by a naughty acid line. Mesmerizingly sexy!

This is followed up by ‘I Run.’ A pulsating analogue-esque rhythm sets off the low end, joined by a classic sounding piano riff and vintage claps. A swathe of synth sweeps across the top end adding a dramatic element to this catchy and immersive cut. Kadosh manages to strike that delicate balance between nodding to the past while upholding the sound of today. A short breakdown halfway through pumps the track with increased energy while those sweeping synth lines transport you to another dimension. Emotive, captivating and dance-inducing vibes from start to end.
