French producer Captain Mustache returns with ‘Acid Fury’, the first single from his fifth album ‘Metal Body’, out on the legendary International Deejay Gigolo Records. After previous albums on Kompakt and Mobilee, this new chapter feels like a true homecoming for the artist, who describes the label as his “madeleine de Proust”. Gigolo is the imprint that deeply shaped his musical identity and helped popularize some of his electroclash idols, from Vitalic to Miss Kittin & The Hacker, making this a natural meeting of two connected identities.

True to its name, ‘Acid Fury’ unleashes a furious storm of 303 lines straight onto the dancefloor. The track rides a relentless, raw energy before diving into a long, hypnotic break that pulls you into a trance, then releases all of that tension once again. With this single, Captain Mustache digs into memories of his early raves, conjuring the energy and sweat of warehouse nights where acid ruled the room.

The full album ‘Metal Body’ is described as a love letter to electronic music, built on his obsession with synthesis. It tells the story of his sonic encounters over the years and serves as a personal testament to his long history with this music.

Based near Paris, Captain Mustache has built a strong reputation by bridging electro, techno, wave and indie dance influences. His music has landed on labels such as Kompakt, Mobilee, Bedrock, Exploited and Permanent Vacation, earning support from names like Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, John Digweed and Pete Tong along the way. Founded by DJ Hell in 1996, International Deejay Gigolo Records remains one of the most influential labels in electronic music history, and this release adds a fresh, acid soaked chapter to its rebellious legacy.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Acid Fury’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
