Smile and Stay High keep up the quality with a third fantastic EP, of course from label boss DJ Cream, who is joined here by the Berlin-based Black Loops, with each artist serving up two solo cuts. This is not the first and it won’t be the last time these two Italian talents come together, and once again across four new vinyl only tracks they explore vibe-fuelled deep house territory.

Opener Bleep from DJ Cream is a warm and propulsive bit of deep house with neon chords and a timeless feel. It’s built on rich rubber drums that keep you locked while BlackLoops offers ‘Fresh2000’, which is beautifully bouncy and with classic jazzy chords and dreamy pads all helping to embellish the grooves.

On the flip, Stay High from Black Loops is another smooth and cruising cut with glowing chords, deft whispered vocals and a real sense of house soul. DJ Cream closes things out with Give It To Me, a garage-tinged deep house bumper with emotive little vocal stabs, pillowy pads and the sort of nimble bass that keeps you on your toes.

This is another standout EP from this young but assured label and you can listen to the full premiere of ‘Fresh2000’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy !

Release date : June 2019.
