Romanian producer Mihai Popoviciu returns to Bondage Music with his four-track ‘Azul EP’. Kicking things off with the title track ‘Azul’, we start moody and deep, with a hypnotic heads-down late-night vibe from the off. A constant pad adds to the depth while tinkly tones hint at burst of warmth.

’Tristesse’ is a wondrous deep and warm slab of goodness. Deep yet oozing of sunshine with its bouncy vibe throughout.

Pornbugs step up on remix duties, and rework ’Tristesse’. Stripping things back, taking things dubby edged, yet retaining a funkier tinge, before hinting at glimmers of warmth in the breakdown. Very cool.

Mihai delivers a third original track ‘Gazoo’. Fusing deeper vibes, energy and some hazy pads, this deep slab of goodness, is a serious head-nodder.
