Juicebox Music‘s celebratory 50th release sees the return of our label mainstay Indian artists – Aman Anand and Praveen Achary joining forces to create this debut collaborative single titled – ‘Fiasco’. Currently residing in Singapore, Aman Anand’s catalogue boasts of accomplishments, with releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s “Sudbeat”, Mango’s “Mango Alley” and Paul Hazendonk’s “Manual” to name a few. His sets have captivated listeners all around the world and was recently named as one of the ‘5 Emerging House Producers in Singapore to Discover’ by Mixmag Asia. Juicebox Music label owner and Bangalore-based artist – Praveen Achary’s body of work spans over a decade, highlighted by his music on Mitch Alexander’s “microCastle”, Cid Inc’s “Replug”, an official remix for Above and Beyond on their ‘We Are All We Need’ album release for India and a vinyl-release on Slow Crime’s “Spaghetti Monster”. His touring schedule has seen him perform at major festivals in India – Vh1 Supersonic, Sunburn, Electric Daisy Carnival as well as international gigs in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Nepal and Malaysia.
When collaborating together for ‘Fiasco’ both Aman Anand and Praveen Achary had a similar idea they wanted to convey – “A fiasco happens when a plan crumbles and collapses after a series of unfortunate events. People, society and parts of the world experience these moments at some point in time. The chaos, the uncertainty, the lack of luck on your side can all be part of the reason. That being said, it’s how one gets back up from all these troubled stages and works towards executing better decisions going forward, making small and big changes, around you and within yourself, in whatever capacity you can.” The Indian duo decided to express this state of organized chaos through ‘Fiasco’ with a chunky groove filled with twisted effects and accentuated by a captivating wonky synth.
