With some 500 production credits to his name across a decade long career, Dmitry Molosh has continued to find himself at the vanguard of a modern progressive house sound that has captured the imagination of a new generation of club goers and established DJs alike.

Finding his music allied to some of the finest modern imprints in the scene, the Belarusian’s work has graced such highly-respected labels as Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Cid Inc’s Replug and Gai Barone’s Afterglow Records. Supported by growing cast of DJ royalty, Guy J, Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur can all be called fans of the Dmitry Molosh sound.

A growing list of releases can be found on Proton Music after remixes for the likes of Navid Mehr, Kastis Torrau and Trilucid and Phil Martyn, paved the way for original work in the shape of November 2020’s “Little Friend” and April 2021’s ‘Winds of Change’. Now a third track finds ‘River Pond’ characterised by a gorgeous rhythmic groove that rolls effortlessly in waves across a 6-minute piece that builds via heavy beat and subterranean bassline. Smooth motifs glisten like water droplets in regular patterns while an emotive breakdown provides an opportunity for an array of melodic phrases and reverb-laden piano to emerge in the sunlight. Forging a new path in the second half, ‘River Pond’ is a supreme example of an artist at the peak of his powers.

A single remix comes from legendary producer, Kobana. A veteran of the progressive house scene, the Polish artist has been involved in the dance music industry for some 15 years. Creating a new groove with shaker-driven percussive intent and intelligently placed toms, a beautifully warm chord progression illuminates ‘River Pond’ with a beautiful new piano sequence that lights up an exquisitely created break in the rhythmic collage. As filtered pads execute supremely timed chord changes, the Kobana remix builds imperceptibly, layering sounds and melodic elements to create a masterpiece that has its roots firmly in Dmitry Molosh’s original work.

A new original track plus superb remix from Kobana sees plain sailing on Dmitry Molosh’s ‘River Pond’. You can now listen to the full premiere of the original track exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
