Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD welcomes American legend Roland Clark and NYC’s Alexander Technique for a new single with remixes by Josh Wink.

Roland Clark is a pivotal artist in the development of House music. He is a producer, DJ and vocalist and who has collaborated with dance music royalty under several aliases, from Armand Van Helden on ‘Flowers’ to Fatboy Slim on ‘Star 69’, and was recently inducted into Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 ‘Hall of Fame’. Here he works with new school star Alexander Technique, famed for his stripped-down and banging techno which has won fans in Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Kevin Saunderson, and of course, Nicole Moudaber.

Their ‘You Are Here’ is a heavy, thumping techno cut designed to rattle the walls and make the dance floor sweat. Tough stabs are offset by shimmering hi-hats and rock-solid bass while Roland’s vocal musing up top makes for a strobe-lit peak time classic.
Josh Wink is behind a long list of influential club tracks over the past 30 years and has recorded for seminal labels like Nervous, Strictly Rhythm and more, while his Ovum Recordings has been a stamp of techno quality since 1994. His first remix strips things back then lays down tunneling and linear techno drums with sheet metal snares and brutalist hits. The ‘No Vox’ version strips out some of the dark and menacing words of Roland for an even more physical workout while a heavily filtered and monstrously heavy ‘Remix Tool’ closes out the package. This is no-frills, high-impact techno from some of the best artists in the game right now.
