As an artist blessed with remarkable talent, Eli Nissan, has been at the centre of Tel Aviv’s scene for well over two decades. As a DJ, multi-instrumentalist and producer, he’s been one of the most exciting names to emerge from the dance music hotspot alongside names such as Roy Rosenfeld, Guy Mantzur, Khen and Guy J. Now, he debuts on close friend and long-time collaborator Khen’s Closure imprint with two-track original EP Bambook/Limbo. The EP is the highly-rated producer’s first project since his album ‘Got Between Us’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found from 2022

Closure founder and close friend of Eli Nissan, Khen, explains the genesis of his new imprint:

“After over a decade as a producer and DJ, I reached a point in my career early last year where a concept for a label started forming in my mind. It has always been a dream of mine to have my own imprint, but it was important for me not to rush the process and be 100% comfortable with every aspect of the creative execution,” he says.

Limited to four digital EP or single releases per year, each release cycle culminates with a physical vinyl release with exclusive remixes of a selection of the best tracks from the year past. The artwork for each of the four releases represents one-quarter of the full art piece for the release cycle that effectively comes together with the vinyl release, creating a visual and musical sense of closure.

“Each of the four artworks for the individual releases can stand on their own feet, but piece by piece, as the year goes on, they paint a full picture,” Khen explains.

He continues: “Starting a label and being able to work with producers like Eli that I’ve looked up to all my life and having them put out music on my own label is surreal and also represents my career coming full circle, in a sense. I can’t wait to share their amazing art with the world, and provide a platform for new and established acts from across the world.”

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Bambook’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
