PROFF is heading back to familiar ground. The acclaimed producer returns to Thunderlab Collective, a label he has been part of since its very first release, this time with two originals of his own for the imprint’s tenth catalogue number.

Leading the release, ‘Colours You Can’t See’ is organic house at its most unhurried. Rather than chasing the peak of the night, the track is built for the long stretch of a set, with soft percussion, warm textures and slowly shifting melodies that reveal new details the longer you stay with it. It is the kind of record that quietly holds a dancefloor together and pulls everyone a little deeper into the journey.

On the flip, ‘Melted’ turns inward and closes the record on a quieter, more hypnotic note. Both tracks are presented in extended form, giving DJs plenty of room to blend and build.

With close to two decades of releases behind him, PROFF has become one of the most respected names in melodic and progressive electronic music. His emotive productions and cinematic sound have earned him a long association with Anjunadeep, including multiple mixes for The Anjunadeep Edition, as well as support from fans and DJs all over the world.

Thunderlab Collective is an independent label that describes itself simply as home. Since kicking off with TLC001, ‘The Rumble / Luna Amazonia’ by PROFF and Volen Sentir, the imprint has built a tight family of artists around deep, groovy and atmospheric club music, and this tenth release feels like a fitting full circle moment.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Colours You Can’t See’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
