Some tracks are worth waiting for. For Zurich-based DJ and producer Jon Who, ‘Glass Houses’ is a decade-old idea given a new lease of life, brought into focus through a collaboration with powerhouse vocalist GEORGE ANTHONY MUSIC. Released on Groove People Records,  the single blends uplifting piano keys, a groovy electronic bassline and a commanding vocal performance into a soulful, club-ready production.

Straddling vocal, soulful and classic club house, ‘Glass Houses’ pairs contemporary production with the timeless ingredients of a great dancefloor record. George’s expressive delivery brings warmth and conviction, while the infectious groove and uplifting piano give the track its hands-in-the-air appeal. Beneath the energy sits a message of perseverance and self-belief, adding substance to a record designed to move both body and spirit.

A decade in the making

The story behind ‘Glass Houses’ began around ten years ago, when Jon first wrote the track and recorded an early version of the topline on his phone. After getting caught up in the production process, the project was eventually shelved, waiting for the right moment to return.

That moment arrived in early 2026, when Jon rediscovered the track among his archived musical projects. Determined to give it another chance, he began rebuilding the production and searching for a vocalist who could capture its soulful spirit.

“‘Glass Houses’ has a long history. I wrote it 10 years ago, recorded the first version of the topline on my phone and went through a couple of beginner’s mistakes – creating endless kick or bass variations and subsequently feeling stuck. It was meant to be a soulful track from the beginning, but its time hadn’t yet come, apparently,” Jon explains.

After exploring profiles on an online platform for session musicians, he found George Anthony, whose gospel background and live experience immediately felt right for the song. George recorded the vocals in a US studio, sending them back to Jon to incorporate into the renewed production. The result is the Club Mix released through Groove People Records, bringing fresh energy to an idea that had been waiting a decade for its moment.

Soul, gospel and a positive message

With more than 25 years of singing, studio work and live performance behind him, George Anthony brings considerable experience to the collaboration. Rooted in church music and having performed internationally with gospel ensembles including The Best of Black Gospel, his powerful, soulful delivery gives the track its emotional centre.

For George, the infectious instrumental was an immediate draw, but the lyrics made the connection stronger.

“When I first received the music the beat was so intoxicating and just makes you wanna dance, but once I saw the lyrics I loved the song. It encourages you to keep going, to keep doing great things, and don’t let anything or anyone stop you from going after your dreams.”

That spirit of encouragement runs through the track, balancing its dancefloor energy with a message about ambition, resilience and following your dreams. It’s a natural fit for soulful house, where expressive vocals and genuine emotion remain central to the music’s appeal.

From Zurich to the dancefloor

Jon Who’s musical foundations stretch from childhood piano lessons and orchestral composition to a background in architecture, before house music became an increasingly important creative outlet. Initially DJing as Tahiti Snow from 2018, he established himself on the Zurich scene from 2022, playing events including Zurich Street Parade and Openair Gampel, alongside international appearances at Ministry of Sound in London, Café del Mar in Ibiza and the Ultra Europe Boat Party in Croatia.

Since turning more seriously towards production in 2024, Jon has developed a sound built around expressive vocals, piano, strings and the enduring warmth of house music. ‘Glass Houses’ reflects that approach, pairing a contemporary club sensibility with a soulful foundation and a strong emphasis on connection.

The release also fits the ethos of Groove People Records, the independent Swiss label founded in 2021. With a catalogue spanning house, deep house, tech house and funky house, the label champions groove-led productions from established names and emerging artists alike. ‘Glass Houses’ adds another vocal-focused cut to that catalogue, balancing club energy with an uplifting message.

Available in Extended Mix and Radio Edit versions, the single offers both a club-focused arrangement and a shorter edit for wider listening.

A track that once sat unfinished on a laptop has now found its voice. With George Anthony’s soulful performance bringing Jon Who’s original vision to life, ‘Glass Houses’ is a feel-good house release built on perseverance, positive energy and the timeless power of a great vocal.
