Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Ramiro Rossotti channels the city’s passion and pulse into his music — a blend of hypnotic melodies, deep grooves, and heartfelt rhythm. Following his new collaboration with Inamo on Flight Of The Navigator, he opens up about finding balance between emotion and freedom, the magic of live connection, and how Argentina’s energy continues to shape his sound.

WWD: Congrats on your new release with Inamo on Flight Of The Navigator! How did this collaboration first come about?

Thank you! The concept for this track started a few years ago. It went through many shapes and revisions, but I always felt there was something special there. Last year, I sent the demo to Gene, and after we discussed where it could go, we began reworking it together. That process eventually led us to the version you hear today and the decision to release it as a collaboration.

WWD: Flight Of The Navigator has been home to some forward-thinking melodic sounds lately. What drew you to release this project with them?

The music on the label immediately resonated with me. Since we were collaborating with Gene, and he had just launched the project, Flight Of The Navigator felt like the right home for the release.

WWD: You’ve become a defining voice in Argentina’s electronic scene. How has growing up in Buenos Aires shaped your connection to rhythm and emotion?

Buenos Aires is a city that never stops feeling. The passion of its people, the chaos, the beauty, everything has rhythm. Growing up there taught me to express emotion through sound and to see music not just as entertainment, but as a bond between people. That’s why I always approach my sets and productions with narrative and feeling, trying to transmit the emotional intensity that defines Argentina.

WWD: You’ve played everywhere from Luna Park and Pacha Buenos Aires to Zamna Festival and Playa Soleil. Is there a particular show that left a lasting mark on you?

Every show has its own magic, but Zamna Festival left a deep impression. Playing in the middle of the woods, alongside Black Coffee with Martin Rizzola on percussion, created an atmosphere unlike anything I’d experienced before. The energy of the crowd, the nature around us, and the synergy on stage made it a night I’ll always carry with me.

WWD: Your sound bridges groove, melody, and tribal energy so seamlessly. What’s the secret to keeping that balance alive in both your sets and productions?

The balance lives somewhere between intention and freedom. Before every set, I dive into music digging, organizing, learning who I’ll be playing for. Then I let the night guide me. Each performance is a blank canvas, shaped by the crowd’s energy.

In the studio, it’s about emotion. I chase the feeling a track leaves behind, the images and memories it awakens. Working in a space filled with rare hardware keeps the creative door wide open, giving me endless ways to weave groove, melody, and tribal pulse into one story.

WWD: Finally, what’s next for you — any upcoming projects or collaborations we should keep an eye out for?

Yes! There’s a collab with Lizwi, a release on Connected and a remix on Earthly Delights and a follow up ‘Get Lost’ remix EP on trueColors.
